To kick off our new Desert Island Delights feature we invited Michelle Riley, founder of Niche & Cult, to tell us what items she would pack into a beauty bag should she be cast away on a desert island.
Michelle was responsible for bringing the original Konjac Sponge brand to the UK and with her expert knowledge of Korean beauty brands and natural skincare and cosmetics products, we were keen to see what beauty products she would select to take to the island....
What 5 items would you pack in your beauty bag to take to a desert island?
1. The Konjac Sponge Co Pink Clay Heart
Of course, I’m a little biased, but this is my fav skincare product! The Pink Clay sponge allows me to gently cleanse & exfoliate, and being totally biodegradable, it wouldn’t leave any waste on the island!
2. Salt & Stone Lip Balm
My absolute go-to lip product that prevents dry chapped lips, I don’t go anywhere without it so this is must in the beauty bag.
3. Sprouted Greens Shampoo from The Body Deli
I could live without makeup at a push, but keeping my hair fresh is a must! This shampoo leaves my hair in incredible condition, and smells lovely too!
4. Oh My Sun Tone Up Base from Yadah
We should all be wearing SPF every day (desert island or not!) so SPF would certainly be my next go-to; this Tone Up Base gives my skin a lovely finish, and is SPF50
5. Emma 3 in 1 Hanging Beauty Bag by Victoria Green
Well, we’d need a way of keeping our 4 other products safe, what could be better? ;)
In addition to your 5 selected beauty items, which other luxury item would you take with you to the island?
This isn’t a tough one – Okioki Hyaluronic acid infused pillow.
Allowing a good nights sleep on a comfy pillow, and getting a skincare treatment every night!
